The Principal for FODE Anthony Rayappan during the recent launch highlighted the partnership between b-Mobile and FODE is a good move as it aimed to improve communication.

In the lead up to the implementation of the program, the provincial coordinators of FODE were in Port Moresby recently for a two days’ workshop, where they were taught how to use the digital network for the smooth flow of information.

The workshop focused on improving communication using a digital platform between FODE Provincial Offices and the Port Moresby Headquarters.

The provincial coordinators, each received, a Vodafone Tablet Grand 6 from b-Mobile as part of the training package.

Using these tablets, the coordinators were trained on how to use social media communication platforms WhatsApp and Gmail as mediums of communication using, the 3G network.

Meanwhile, Shivalinga Prasad, the General Manager for CCI PNG, who facilitated the workshop, stated that this initiative will improve the communication system and will address certain administrative issues within the FODE, especially with the introduction of voice conferencing using the digital devices.
